I was a bit surprised, at how long it took to load. Seems I was stuck at 78% terrain for a good three minutes but then it just hammered up and moved on.
I had the graphic settings way to high for what my system would handle, and it stuttered as I knew it would. It wasn't that bad over all for a 15 minute flight in the CRJ-700 Exec livery from KFTW to KDFW. I got to see that KFTW is modeled correctly, well, with the hangar I work in being on the airport at least. FS9 does not have this and since the building was not built until 2005 I wouldn't expect it to be therein FS9. I was able to find the roof top of my house and track my route to work. I also noticed the vehicle traffic on the highways, didn't pay much attention to that. I landed successfully with no ATC at DFW and closed the Sim. Now I'm thinking of D/L SP1 before MS decides to pull it, I really need a better machine to bring it all together.
All in all, day and night difference from FS9 and quite enjoyable. |

Mine always gets stuck loading when it adjusts scenery objects (82%).
Anyway, my favorite part about FSX has to be the way the pilot's point of view kinda moves during the aircraft's movements in the VC. Makes it even more like being in a real plane. |

| Those who have multi-core processors normally have a better flying experience after installing SP1. However, SP1 still cuts down loading times immensely, even on single-core processors. |

| I have a single core processor and after installing SP1 it sped up everything from load times to frame rates. |
