| Would it be possible to change the instrument readings from Knots to MPH by tweaking something somewhere in FS2004.Thanks, boldpilot |

1 nm = 1.15 normal ml
1 knot = 1 nm/hr = 1.15 ml/hr |

There IS NO PLURAL for MATH as you have outlined in another attempt to show your.....
Math
Mathematics
Mathematical,
Mathematician,
Plus a few others.
The PLURAL form of the noun Math is Mathematics.
So, leave the room, go sit in your corner.

| American English is, well, different sometimes and so is the spelling. Just as long as we understand each other ,when the cell phone language is taught in schools that will be the day. Anyway what does USAF aircraft use knots, mph,or KmH. |

The Nautical mile was used by the early navigators because one nautical mile equals one minute of latitude at the equator .Therefore 360 degrees at 60 minutes each degree equals 21600 nautical miles around the earth.
Don't ask what happens when the distance around the earth nearer to the Poles is because I don't know .boldpilot |

|
|
the longitutudanal distance quoted is taken at the equator, when the linear distance is almost identical to the latitude's
thanks to trigonomety, it can be easily found when traversing across the vast oceans of the world.
eg:
start: Tierra del Fuego, Straits of Magellan, Argentina to Hokkaido, Japan.
This is a typical potted chart for shipping and making long flights.
Since the EARTH is a geometric sphere, longitudanal distance grows narrower in linear distance as you go farther North or South.
The latitude (N>S) distance remains nearly the same. Avg: 64.5x 65 miles per grid box of 1 degree.
Start at bottom, linear distance is VERY short, around 61.5 miles (US MILES). As the equator is near, that distance grows to ~67.5 miles.. it reverses going towards the tp. This is simple geometry and math.
It all averages out to about 64 miles linear e-w (Long)
Have fun.

Keep it up lc, and I'll start throwing yellow boxes at you like they were lifesavers. And believe me, as many times that you have been wrong, you're going to need plenty to stay afloat.
(correct my grammer/spelling....I dare you)
