| Hi Im making a few slight changes to an FS9 Default Airport (ICAO P04 "Bisbee Mun") but I need to make an exclude area as auto gen keeps putting trees etc in the middle of my Apron & runways, how can I successfully do this? Ive tried but nothing seems to work so far. Im using Afcad 2 to make my A/P changes but how do I make an Exclude area? |

There is a utility that flattens terrain, cant think of the name right now, but i'll try and find it, unless someone comes up with it first.

Hiya....here's somewhere to go to start your search for the right utility at least...no guarantees of satisfaction as I have not used these programs but I've pointed people here before and this is one of the best sites when it comes to scenery design for MSFS. Someone else around here may have better pointers...best of luck and enjoy your search and experimentation. :)
(This link will go to a 'Sticky' post in this forum that points you to 'The Scenery Hall Of Fame', or 'SHOF' for short.) Have fun.

EDIT: ...What the heck, here's the direct link...

Here's the utility that will do what you want, it's in our own Surclaro Library.

flatx101.zip
Quote: FlattEx - Flatten and Exclude Capture Program FlattEx is a simple tool to help simmers to create Flatten and Exclude lines (described in FS2000 Scenery SDK) and to insert them in the SCENERY.CFG file. Data will be captured from FS through the free FDSConnection module. It can work with FS2004, FS2002 and FS2000. Version 1.0.1 fixes a bug that didnt show the complete scenery list when one or more sceneries were previously deleted in FS. By Mario Corallo. Unquote.
Hope this helps.
