1. I'm not sure if addons would work on the demo version. You could try.
2. Those who have a video card that does not support hardware transform & lighting get this problem. What is your video card manufacturer/model number? |

You will find the aircraft folder inside the "SimObejcts" folder.

If it is a true FS2004/FS9 a/c, then you will be fine. Cannot have anything from 2002, including gauges.

tell me the names of all grumman aircraft in the FS2004 game/sim?
If TWO TOMCATs with same SIM model in a/C cdfg sheet, YES, it willget cofounded and misread from either or.
eExample Grumman f14B Tomcat (sim=f14d)
OURS:
grumman F14D Tomcat (sim= f14d)
thes two will conflict. PC will randomly pick from the two aircraft configs. IF one has purple smoke, then it might affect al with same MODLE nae= f14d ofor sim1. sim1 is code for pc to opicj that file with model i it for that plane. So get me the names of a/c. I will download up to 4 to see. IF more than 4you copy Airvra.cfg picyur to post. MAKE sure it is for each one.
i will then telll you next step. I will see you thne.

| Nay, it isnt so. The model used is the one contained in the designated model folder within the aircraft folder of the aircraft chosen. To use a model from another aircraft folder or the fsfsconv folder, it must be spelled out in the model= entry of the .cfg for the aircraft chosen. The sim will not randomly use another model. If it does not find the designated model, you will have model not found errors. If the model= entry is left blank, then the model folder of the chosen aircraft will be the default model used and no other. |

i did not make it clear enough. This is from experience with Dino's ac.cfg and ours F14D's cfg. late last year, I even put out a bulletin to users who were seeing the same thing. I tested, yepper, the customer WAS rt.
I had the B variant from Dino. It has the SAME sim1 file= f14d as ours
but DIFFERENT textues and cfg stuff.
I had MY bird, the D, BUT, it uses DINO's MDL: sim1= f14d, & AC.CFG, Our AC.cfg sheet is not same now, close but not enough, all of his textures are gone.
Sim1 was = f14d, SAME for both.
Different subfolders.
No way?
Well when I cranked MINE up, and chose an aircraft texture, I had TWO of the SAME Birds listed, YET HIS is A B. In other words, I had two Jolly Rogers, two of xx, etc.
HIS light on tails were white strobes. Mine are red beacon. Mine went to strobes? His stayed Strobes.
One other time, I had REV 2.0 for COP, when I had the B installed, the gauge callouts wer REV 1.1 for Dino. THUS, MY CATAPULT GAUGE changed back to rev. 1.1.
Now explain that?
I dumped the brick, all went to normal

| was the odd mdl file in the same aircraft folder or a different one? were there two aircraft folders with the same name? these are the only two explanations for model confusion that I can reckon. |

GS,
I think that is what it was, THE TITLE to the texture rt under Fltsim=0 , etc
was the exact same.
both folers were named as what they are, Dino F14B Tomcat, mine, F14D Tomcat. nut it did not matter, EACH indiidual .mdl file ws separate. BUT same nae.
It freaked me out, so I just eleted his old red brick. , got rid of old gauges, reloaded cop 2 again, OK then.
BUT the title! F-14 was the same as the title. His was f14D as was mine, if i remeber.
not pokin' fun, but that is the only time someone ever asked me to fix that,
Thanks!
Good nite
