I have FS Recorder installed for FSX, its the FSX version, but it wont work. Whenever I click "record" it comes up with "Temp file could not be found" (Well it might say located, but same thing really).

Anyone know how to fix this?

Cheers all.

Wait second. Doesn't FSX already have a built-in flight recorder? What's the need of installing FS recorder?

Hi
I have just had to reinstall FSRecorder due to major PC screwup and after downloading I inadvertently tried to run setup from the WINRAR archive screen before extracting the files to another folder. This gave me a temp cant find msg, but after extract it worked fine- maybe your prob??
Great programme even though helis are a bit difficult to fly formation, see the fs-recorder forum for solutions.
Got to 3 in formation jets although not very close yet!

Hi Torchwood,
Tips
1. choose a nice big runway anywhere in the world.
2. choose an aircraft that you feel comfortable flying accurately
3. one with spoilers helps as you tend to catch the guy in front quicker than you think.
I did this once in a Hunter T7 during Portsmouth Navy Day display, we were UAS cadets lucky enough to hitch a ride (No G suits, so greyed out twice)
When they let, we the students, have a go the formation fell apart and whilst trying to catch up with the guy in front I was over France before I knew it!!!
Here we go
4.Start flight, set recorder to Record-Take some time on the end of the runway so as to give you more time to organize yourself when setting up the next flight. and then take off, First go I did most of the flying on AP to ensure a steady flight for the next guy to follow. Keep it straight and level for starters, easier to get near too.
End flight and save recording.
5. Start same flight over again, slew this time to Left or right and say back a bit.
6. Start recorder in Play as Traffic mode and choose the flight you just saved.
7. Start recorder in record mode and try to keep up with the guy in front.
etc etc
For 3 aircraft when you select Play as Traffic, use the control key to select both the previous flights.
Good luck and have fun
Chris

Me again Torchwood,
when you downloaded the FS Recorder you should have got a full Adobe manual in the zip file!
Lots of good gen in there!
