OK call me stupid. I have never repainted a craft before. I have downloaded the DXTbmp program. I use photoshop. Ok i save the drawing as and put it in a folder named Texture.1 I looked at the way FS9 sets these up and do it the same way, yet when i fire up flight simulator, my repaints do not show up. Can someone please tell me what Im doing wrong?!

Taking for granted you have a complete aircraft (model, panel, sound, yadda, yadda) there are a few things that might cause the problem.

Some textures won't show up in say, 24 bit format, when modified. I usually save mine in DXT3 format because they're "faster" loading. I'd say, once again if you're aircraft is complete, to try saving any changes you make to an aircraft in DXT3 format first, then go from there.

Then just add ( .1 ) to your texture in the cfg, or, remove the ( .1 ) from the texture folder.

Or, copy/paste that cfg, and make the next flightsim " 1", and rename the title, and change the variation. This way you have two paints, and keep the original.

If you would have let us know which a/c it was, then I could have done it for you, and shown you how.

thanks rd, that makes sense (putting a .1 in the .cfg) i figured out how to open em up in text editor, so that way will let me have a variety of different paints as long as i add .1 .2 .3 etc. well im wanting to start with the baron 58, then move on to the boeing series, thinking of creating my own livery of antique fighters, commercial and military.
