1. Is there a TTools for FSX?
2. Is there a FSNavigator for FSX?
3. Tried to change a parameter in aircraft BGL and windows wouldn't let me save it. So no changes are allowed?
4. Tried to swap guages in a panal and windows wouldn't let me save it. So no changes are allowed?
5. Compared to FS9 ther's too many out side views that just get in the way. Can they be deleted or put in a not in use folder?
PS I got FSX because my old computer died and I lost everything. Now I am starting over. |

Dang, only 2 days old and already forgot how to find stuff.
Have you searched around a bit? I have only done one flight in FSX, so I'm asking rather than accusing. I haven't looked because I haven't wanted to, not hooked on the beast yet. |

| You did not get the flight manual, write MSFT, they have a huge 400 MB download of a Ops manual |

| If MSFT is Microsoft.com, I still couldn't find any manual. |

ok, ive had FSX for a few months and here are **MY** findings, so if someone disagrees or they dont work, do NOT blame me, it is only what I found!!!!
1. you can use the TTools for FS9 to work in FSX..... the traffic files are located in your SCENERY / WORLD / SCENERY file -- Quote taken from http://64.233.169.104/search?q=cache:SR-0WLespjUJ:www.fsdownload.com/modules.php%3Fname%3DNews%26file%3Darticle%26sid%3D81+ttools+for+fsx&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=8&gl=us -- GENERAL REMARKS:
AI-Traffic, depending on the density of the current traffic activity, has
unfortunately rather a remarkable influence on the framerate (frames per second). In order to protect the framerate from dropping down to much, you may reduce the Airline- and General aviation traffic settings. The Traffic-Files by the way are in the "sceneryworldscenery" directory by default.
Another way of reducing AI-Traffic would be modifying the desired traffic file itself by using "TTools" for FS9 generated files, but in this case you should be familiar with the contents of the "TTools-Readme" or trying the Reduce-AI utility from Henning Schaefer (reduceai.zip) available here at the avsim library.
2. not yet, but they are working on it... go to http://www.fsnavigator.com/index.htm and look at the bottom of the page!!!
3. depends on what version of windows you are running... Vista will not let you save it as XP would.... there is a coding conflict and you have to have a special program that i do not know what it is, cause i do not mess with a/c .bgls
4. Private message me your email address, and then send me the 2 panel folders that you are working with, and I will swap the guages, and send you back the finished product - free of charge.
5. no. they are most likely modeled into the aircraft .air file and if you do not have the "source coding" when the aircraft was designed, then there is nothing you can do about it. get use to it!!
100 --- and with only 17 posts, and a game that is only 2 days (probably 3 by now).... why dont you play around with it and see what the heck all the features are and where things are before you go messing around in the guts of a program. {stupid cleche' -- i dont see doctors slicing some ones chest open and then say "oh wait, what is this red thing that is beating??" --- NO They go to school to learn what is inside people and how things work BEFORE they tear it open and go digging around on the insides} |

| OK, all your answers were to the point. My FS9 A/C were configured for my special operations and I lost them when the computer crashed. I wanted to do it again with FSX but I can see where that is going to be beyond me. Thanx everybody for your input. |

| "never give up the ship".....a famous sailor once said. Nahhhhh, it's not beyond you, you will simply have to put in the time the train up like you did with Fs9. Let's not forget that we havent even reached FSX' first birthday yet and I feel we've expanded FS a faster rate than even Fs9 in it's first year. |
