Hiya. When I was flying around FS2002 a few years back I stumbled upon a wicked, free autogen building texture replacement set called 'Koorbygen Lite'. If I remember correctly, Koorby (or whatever the real author's name was) was originally associated with the 'Bird's Eye View' payware replacement ground textures product that was just launching. Apparently, back then, this individual had a falling out with 'BEV', pulled all his images off the 'BEV' site, yanked his building textures and offered them up as freeware online...as Koorbygen lite. Yes it's a sordid tale, but a bit of history on the product is interesting...hope I got the details right.
Anyway, only a few of the textures would go into FS2002, as they're made for FS2004 and in my opinion they are one of the best freebies out there if you fly low and slow over city neighborhoods. They really effectively transform the landscape of urban FS2004, night and day, and I wholeheartedly recommend you search for the add-on at 'Avsim' and give it a go. Please backup the bitmaps that Koorbygen replaces - in case you want to go back to default...but you won't want to.

I raved about the product here in these forums back then, but decided to post anew rather than drag up the old post...here's hoping that some of our newer visitors get a rush from this autogen texture free improvement.

harkonnen...I don't know about the early stuff....but he then went on to do Vista Australis or VOZ.His autogen building texture replacement is included in the downloads for VOZ plus a whole lot more.

Although they are for Australia they work very well for the rest of the world.Its the best freeware package availible.
