Hi
I have purchased traffic 2005. It is awsome with the different hundreds of planes, followme car etc... But i have a problem, It takes a few minutes for all the traffic to get going so when i am at a huge airport e.g. hong kong intl the planes just pile in for landing/ take off. The ATC only tells a few planes to go around so there are about 100 planes landing and about 2 of them get told to go around. Is there any way you can help me, I will try to take a shot of the problem when i get back home.

Thank you.

Liam. You really need someone that already has Traffic 2005, sorry I cant help more, I dont have it.

Only thing I can think of maybe...... Did you have much AI traffic in the beginig, prior to Traffic 2005, maybe if you backed of your traffic in fs9, it may help.

Mel.

I don't have Traffic 2005 however I encountered a similar issue with Ultimate Traffic where there were multiple aircraft piling in for landing and just HAD to use the departure runway. I fixed the issue by turning down the traffic percentage to about 75% or lower. I would've eventually had to reduce it because all the AI gathering at the gates and runways was causing my frame rates to go to 1 FPS. Made for some horrible landings and I got tired of it.

The question is, what's closer to real life and what's absolutely ridiculous?

So many times while flying out of Minneapolis (KMSP) to anywhere, I have sat complancently, waiting for the flight to take off, while stacked up on the taxiway for 30 minutes to 3 hours! I've heard worse stories and so have you.

In my way of thinking, landing aircraft generally have priority over aircraft awaiting takeoff clearance. You've seen the horror stories about passengers being stuck on aircraft for six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven hours before take off. One wonders whether these long waiting aircraft will have sufficient fuel to get to their destinations while being stacked up for this long?

Of course every pilot (real and virtual) would like to taxi out to the Hold Short and then be next in line for takeoff. But things don't always work out that way.

And let's face it. If there weren't some stacking of aircraft at some of the busiest airports, virtual pilots would complain about that, too!

When I board an aircraft in real life, I ALWAYS bring along an overabundance of reading material and a few energy bars to nibble on in a long wait situation on the taxi way!

FS9 doesn't even touch on Waits For DeIcing. I'm guessing that FSX doesn't deal with this real life situation either!

And what about pilots who are sitting for these endless hours all stacked up behind seventy other aircraft waiting to take off? Do you think they're happy about it?

Now, you're experiencing "As Real As It Gets"! And don't forget that!

Either you want REAL or you want PROBLEM FREE. Either you want IFR conditions or VFR conditions. Real World Weather or Clear?

Adjust your FS settings and level of AI traffic according to the level of realism you want, airport by airport! Even Payware should allow you the choice.

If you can't handle full realism, restart your flight and micro-manage your settings to conditions that are acceptble to you.

And don't forget your FSUIPC controls! Google FSUIPC and look at what Dr. Dowson is doing for MSFS!

Happy Landings!

Jaeg!
