|
|
I don't have FSX and couldn't run it, but from some of those FSX air race screenies I've seen it looks like you FSXers have a lap timer/counter overlay in the upper corner of the screen. If anyone knows of a similar utility as a free add-on for FS9 please link me up. I'm searching here and there for such a utility in anticipation of possibilities with a race-course add-on for FS9.
I've come up with a few gauges so far that are chronometers, etc....they may have to suffice - I'd appreciate links to these too, if you come across them during your travels.
And in anticipation of eventually obtaining, running and developing for FSX, I have a question or two regarding that neat lap counter thingy.
Is the lap timer overlay there in regular FSX or is it just an 'Acceleration' thing?
Is it there on your screen only for the air race missions, or can you use it with any plane, anywhere? Is it available for when you build missions in FSX?
Thanks in advance for any responses...this thread may come in mighty handy if I can get the 'Trench of Dooom doom doom' racecourse working for FS9. |

I found a few of them at AVSIM. Hit the search box, then extended search box, then in description, type in "Timers".
There were 3 or 4 at the bottom of the page.
Otherwise, it is only in the races and missions.

| Right on, thanks RD - I hadn't been to Avsim yet in my searches. |

It's my first place to go, of course, after I've checked here

That's somewhat of an oxymoron, RD. LOL
If you check Surclaro before checking Avsim and other sites, then Avsim wouldn't be the first place you visit.
Just an FYI hahahaha. |

Your killing me Vince....
I always check here first, as a no-brainer. But my "first" choice for downloads after here is AVSIM.
In regards to your "all nighter" question, I'll pay for the tickets myself. Just to be able to slap the sh*t out of ya.
