Have downloaded several of the brilliant Meljet 777s and they all seem to have the same problem. The latest one if someone would like to help is from Avsim:

british_airways_777-236er_g-viiy.zip

Great aircraft, but when you move to the view after the panel view (ie: what would be the virtual cockpit view if it had one), half the screen is blank. If you pan to the right to fill the screen your view is then to the right side, not helpful with landings etc.

I expect this can be altered in the .cfg file, but would like some advice as to how to change it. Hope someone can help, thanks.

There does seem to be an issue with what should be VC, give me a little time, and I will investigate further.

Hmmm...if you pan all the way around in the V.C., up and down a bit too, and zoom the view all the way out, you'll see that you need to watch your step or you may fall out of the cockpit.

In other words, get used to using the panel view - something's messed up with the Virtual Cockpit, which is purely and exclusively handled when the 3D model is built, and exported as a .mdl file. The Aircraft .CFG file will offer no joy for the V.C. If the panel and sounds don't suit you - you have many options. If the V.C. is no good, you are out of luck. Enjoy the plane though, the rest of it looks gorgeous.

(Not to step on your toes Mel, I just had a look and figured I'd reply.) :)

Thanks guys for looking. I had already changed the panel & sounds for something better, it was just annoying to get half a screen instead of a clear unobstructed view forward when cycling through the views.

Just a shame that it can't be sorted, but as you say it is a really nice aircraft.
Mel, if you do manage to find anything alse I'd be pleased to hear it.

Once again thanks.

Unfortunatly there is not much you can do regarding the VC,.... As Hark has already pointed out, it's in the .mdl file .... my only advice is to make contact with Greetmir Goodeguard at Greetmir@yahoo.com for some solution. .... If you do contact him, please can you post any updates from him in this post ........ Thanks.

If you do not want to go that route, then I would strongly suggest an update panel from Avsim ..... Filename: 737_757_767_777_vrif_gg__panel_v13.zip

Just go to www.avsim.com and copy & paste the filename. See pics below. ... Tried and tested by me personally.

NOTE:.... THIS WILL NOT SOLVE THE VC PROBLEM...

@Hark: .... Absolutly no problem old boy...

Thanks Mel, that is the panel I already downloaded. Will try Greetmir and let you know.

Once again thanks everyone for their efforts.
