Hi,

the day before yesterday I suffered a CTD with msvcr.dll message.

I read about it and replaced the file in SYS32. (had multiple files and different locations though)

Yesterday I took the same flight (sped it up a bit...) and no problems.. until taxiing towards the gate at ESMS. then.. CTD... g2d.dll

I also read about this and tried to fix the things in BIOS, but I couldn´t find where to make those changes. (video caching to OFF)

Any ideas?

The addons I use is the same I used on my older system, with no CTDs.

The only new thing is a new halo.bmp I made, to tweak the lights a bit.

I also use dual monitors.

My system:

Intel Core 2 Duo (2.66GHz)

XP (SP2)

Direct X 9.0c

GeForce 8800GT

Harddrive: 300Gb

RAM: 2Gb

/Johan

EDIT; The CTD came when taxiing on an addon scenery apt. Should I re-install the scenery.

It´s quite frustrating.. two flights and two CTD... but random it seems..

Help!

Did you replace the msvcr70.dll file located in the main FS9 folder?

Also, try uninstalling the add-on scenery you mentioned and see what affect if any that has. Make sure you remove all files associated with that install except those that are shared components.

Yes I tried that. But then FS9 wouldn´t start. So I put the old one back. I changed the one in WIN32, and it worked.

But that´s not my issue now, but rather this g2d.dll-ctd...

I read that it could have somthing to do with a faulty texture?

I´ve just started to fly on my new system, so I am aware of the tweaking that is needed in the beginning. It´s just a little frustrating, since I didn´t have these issues on my old system... with the ESMS scenery..

I also installed Ground Environment. Should this go to?

I should also add that I almost solely fly PMDG and use Traffic 2005 and Flight Environment.

If you know how to get into your systems BIOS, usually by hitting DEL or one of the "F" keys at start-up, you'll find the setting there to disable video caching.

Here is what MS says about that errror:

A list of possible keys used to access your BIOS depending on manufacturer:

Thanx.

I do get into BIOS, but I cannot find where these video cache-settings are. They can´t be found!
