Here are two great ways to learn how to use the G1000 GPS.

I confess that I was a bit afraid to jump into the G1000 at first. However, after reviewing both of the following resources plus attending four weeks of instruction by a CFI member of our Civil Air Patrol squadron, I am now comfortable with using the G1000 included with FSX.

The CAP Tutorial contains a higher degree of detail because it pertains to the real G1000 (as you'all know by now, I encourage everybody to read as much about aviation as possible). The book for PC Aviator is all about using the G1000 or FSX. 8) 8)
