| Spent some time playing with an alien mothership, or sort of aircraft carrier, transport type of thing. Not landable, just for something different to fly by. You can see by the first gmax screenie that I had much different plans for the line of enemy fighters found hanging in the deployment bay underneath the mothership, but the scenery model compiled strangely and was all messed up in the sim until I carved it down to one fighter hanging as you see in FS9. Too many polygons in the models, I think. Had fun with the whole mess but I don't know if it was worth the effort, I wanted to be able to fly by the bay and see a whole bunch of alien fighters all lined up like in the movies. |

Ummm.....
That lonely ship would be me. Radar had picked you up coming in 40 miles away, and ordered a massive deployment of all ships. They were not sure of your intentions.
But here I sit, trying to figure out, where the dam switch is, for detachment.
Please don't shoot me....... |

I'm not getting any closer than I already did just trying to get an exclusive shot of this gargantuan thing. Several aircraft have been destroyed or just 'fallen out of the sky' after they ventured too close. Sometimes the engines just shut down, other times debris has been seen near the aircraft just before it plummets toward earth. I have special security clearance with the Earth branch of the Alien Tribunal, which might have kept me from being struck when I ventured so close last time, but I'm not pushing my luck.
Very little is known about this species, but I'll bet they're here to reclaim their fighters....God knows how the L.A. 'Warbangers' got a hold of nine of them. |
