Hi fellas, I'm having a problem everytime I try to play online. I get disconnected at about 60% on the loading page (while connecting to the session). I've made some research online to figure out the problem is but no answer, my connection is good and I get 100% out of it. I've recently been able to play in a lobby for about 30 min at most, but after that that's what I get: "you have lost the connection with the lobby, the host has cancelled their session." How weird??? when I sign back in, the gaming session is still in progress with even more people connected.... What am I doing wrong? can anyone help me?

for whatever reason, Gamespy might not be able to hold your connection as well as you think. It has 3000+ ppl signing in / out, moving around, in hundreds of games that it is having to process information for...... its a real hassel

my suggestion ??? go to www.chocolatesoftware.com Download FSHOST SPY .. and FSHOST CLIENT . This way you can you the FSHOST SPY to find a server that you want to fly on.. then use the IP address to connect to it in FSHOST CLIENT.

You will then fly in SINGLE PLAYER (NOT MULTIPLAYER) as it will turn the other pilots into YOUR AI. You can also do various missions in this manner such as the FIND THE LOST ELEPHANT (think about it, you have 10 ppl helping you look for the same dang elephant, and as soon as 1 person finds it, then everyone can just go to that 1 location to find it)--- its CHEATING but hey... it was a goof in the programming that someone has found an exploit for. hehe

you may also want to get TEAMSPEAK 2 CLIENT ( www.goteamspeak.com/downloads ) and i microphone and speakers so that you can talk to your new friends.

hope this helps and happy flying!!

I have fshost and fshost spy but i can't figure out how to make this dang thing to work... I'm having trouble to set up my router.
this is the message i get when i open fshost:
080604 23:55:35 Started FS2002 session 'dfw'
080604 23:55:41 Started FS2004 and FSX session 'dfw'
080604 23:55:42 Version check complete. This is the latest version.
080604 23:55:48 Master Server registration aborted. The Master Server attempted to verify your server by requesting a web page from it, but was not able to connect to your IP address (76.183.122.175) on port 80. If you have a router or firewall, please change it to allow port 80 to be forwarded to your machine. For help, see the FAQ page under the Help menu. Also, please verify your IP address on the Options / Master Server window. FSHostSpy will not be able to show your server.
080604 23:55:48 Loaded 22988 FS2002 airports
080604 23:55:55 Loaded 23760 FS2004 airports

I don't know if my firewalls need to be turned on or off, i've tried couple tricks i found in online forums but none of them work, do i have to create my own session first? or i just can connect on someone else sessions? see i need someone to walk me through the set up. I have no idea what a port range is, what it does and how to set it up. I've done some research and i was asked to set some static ip adress, dns server and I have no clue how to do it, i'm getting bored playing by myself. My internet connection works fine... i'm just out of brain right now. can anyone help????

It looks like you don't have your posts forwarded... Take a look in the Missed Approach forum for information on how to do that.
