|

Hi !
After a few times of playing around with the possibilities within AFCAD, I wanted to make my very own giant airport in the middle of.. nowhere... ahum.. region of the Northpole.
I'm using AFCAD v 2.21, and with FSUIPC I marked the island-boundaries.
Because the markers are gone after saving and restarting AFCAD, I used Apron Lights to mark the island-border.
I had a lot of trouble to fallen the island in order to avoid any curved landscape ruine my airport, but I cant seem to find any solution to fix the scenery.cfg-file.
Also, and this is the MAIN prob., when I'm viewing my airport, it is shifted slightly and it is not in real good position at all. Furthermore, whem I'm slewing my airplane, the airport slews WITH me !!!! So it is actually moving...
I hope some of you guys can help my with this....
Hope to hear from you soon.
Paul
Edit: Maybe it is good to include the .cfg-file and the BGL-file. Inside FS9, I've made an extra Sceneryfolder named ENNN, and this folder is marked with the highest priority (on top of the library-list) The ENNN-directory comes right into the Addon Scenery folder in the rootfolder of FS. Path: ...\Flightsim\Addon Scenery\ENNN\ |

you wont be able to put it at the "NORTH POLE" cause if you use the MAP feature, you will see that it is like a piece of paper laying down. FS9 is not programed to read the planet in 3D "round world" design. it is 2D "Flat paper". If you try to fly up and over ( or down and under ) the poles, FS9 will not read it as 'if you go far enough NORTH you will end up going south (vice versa for the southern pole - if you go far enough south, you end up going back NORTH)
My suggestion?? go to northern Alaska, Canada, Russia or other snow covered area and build your airport there and call it the NORTH POLE where the ground / snow is not moving. |
