I know I can tranfer FS9 aircraft files into FSX (and the plane works fine, but flys very fast) BUT the transferred file replaces a default FSX file and does NOT show up under the "all aircraft" list. Does anyone know how to make one of those aircraft pictures in FSX, that will work with transferred FS9 aircraft?
Thanks :?: |

| First of all.....never, ever, ever, never overwrite or delete any of the default aircraft folders/files in either Fs9 or FSX. Where FSX shares an aircraft folder name with an Fs9 aircraft, you should rename the folder from Fs9. As to the "thumbnail" image for the FSX aircraft selection menu, you merely need to create a jpg image with a 256 x 128 format of the aircraft in question. I use a screenshot utility to take a picture of the aircraft and use my image editor to create the thumbnail. Once you have the image you want, place it in the relevant Texture folder of the aircraft you are working on and name the image thumbnail.jpg |
