Ok I've had been working on some scenery for Buckly AFB, but now I am in a rut.

As most of you know, i cant model a square (haha) and so i rely on other, more skilled people to make my stuff look better.

I need just one more hand made model. the main hangar

if any one could model this guy for me it would help a ton!!!

Thats a big ask ........... But I could be right in saying there is one person that just may be able to do it........ I'm not naming him, if he wants to take it on, he will no doubt step up....... patience.

Ha ha ha....depends what kind of file you need it to be after it's modeled and textured. I can give you .BGL's...or a .mdl and an .xml file...ready for editing & compiling.

'Zat all you have for reference images? 8O :?

I have no experience with radio frequency triggered hangar doors either so don't get your hopes up..

Get back to me here with some details and we'll get 'er done. :D

LOL..... I thought the same thing you did Mel. And yeah, the little devil showed up, as if there was an exorcism to be had.

Good to see you again Hark. PM/email me how life is going for you.

I've looked around for better reference images and there isn't much to be had...the ones you posted are probably the best so far...they show a little of the facade. I have some good clear top-down shots now too, and will do my best. I'll get back to you within a week with something you can test. (I have a life now, spending lots of time with my kids, hobby stuff gets done even slower than my usual snail's pace. )

EDIT: Spent a few minutes last night before bed figuring out how to model the top, rounded part of the hangar. Should work out quite well. It'll be most interesting making this thing presentable when it comes to texturing it. Come to think of it, you will need more than just the .xml and .BGL....you'll need my texture folder.

Well...haven't got much done on this one yet but I have the roof, the hardest part, tackled. The rest should be a little more straightforward, basic building-block stuff...just have to guesstimate dimensions and decide how to approach texturing. Will work on it this weekend as I have time and see if I can't get a tester off.

Ha! You folks are way too kind! I hesitate to post early wip shots like this as they look like 'not much' to me...I threw this one up so Haun knew I was actually doing something.
