Ok all..

Please tell me that I'm not the only one having these problems.

I've got Vista 32 and I've installed FSX and been loving it. However, I really missed all the add-ons (PAI, numerous airliners, scenery add ons and etc.), so I decided to install FS09 too.

However, when I go to install any of the add-ons (for instance right now I can not get the Project AI airlines to install in the FS09) they all tell me "The directory and folders for FS2004 can not be found".

Well, when I go to search for those folders I can't find them either, but when I pull up program files, microsoft games, ONLY FSX shows up.. nowhere is FS09 to be found... However when I click on the desktop shortcut to start the FS09; it works...

What my question is I guess would be this... does the FSX hide all the FS09 files into itself and makes it look like it's all ONE installation instead of two?

Please somebody help.
Thanks,

Josh

There is a utility to fix the registry entries for FS. I'm having a little trouble locating it at the moment. I remember this as an issue when Vista released.

The problem is the registry entry for Fs9 not showing the correct file/folder location. I wish I could find that utility, I keep thinking it was put out by MS.

I'm not sure if this is the right thing but when I couldnt get Real Environment Pro to recognise my FS2004 installation, I stumbled upon a TweakFS Path Utility at http://tweakfs.com , it might even have been suggested to me by someone here! Anyway, after I figured out turning off UAC I was able to set the correct path in the registry and all was good.

As I say I dont know if this is any use here but I thought I would post my suggestion

This is a link to the actual utility on their site http://tweakfs.com/download/fs9path_utility.zip

That's it! You are a gentleman and a scholar, sir. My memory fails me sometimes and then the magic of the Surclaro forums takes over.
