I have moved this question from my Private Message box, into the open Forum, so everyone gets the benefit.
Message recieved today from Michael Craddock.
Mel,
Could you possibly have a look at the "Real Environment Pro." package as I cant seem to get it to work.
Here is a link to my problem from the forums

Thanks mate

Ok Mike, lets start with the basics:
1) Are you using Vista or XP.
2) Are you using FS9.
3) Did you follow the default install path with auto installer: In order for the process to work correctly you must install this package into your C:\Program Files directory. NOT THE FS9 ROOT FOLDER.
If all answers are yes to the above, then we will proceed frome there.

Because I do not run Vista, and niether to I intend to untill absolutly nessasary, I cannot comment as to the comaptabilty between the two.
I have installed the package, and had no problems at all with XP, it works and performs like a dream, fps is a little slower, but then I expected that, my last set of pictures in the Maddie Forum were taken whilst R.E.P. was running, much improved all round.
I enjoyed the results so much, that I have emailed the author and asked a number of questions, including the issue with Vista.
The release date for this was Sept 2006, and the only email address that's avaialble is for Yahoo, unfortuntly, it's touch n' go as to it's validity, it may well be outdated, or abandoned............. All I can say for now, is sit tight and wait to see if I get a reply, as soon as I do, I will paste it here for all to see... |
