| Can someone recommend a General Aviation Aircraft that will run on the Standard Version of FSX. I have the Deluxe version but a friend in the Civil Air Patrol has asked me about the Standard Version. 8) 8) |

As I can tell Skip, it doesn't matter which version you have for aircraft. The only differences between the two, are in how they display the scenery. So you should be able to use any aircraft, as long as it is FSX compatible.

Thanks for prompt reply. I guess that it is my fault for typing a quick question while I was home over my lunch hour checking emails. I realize that there is no real difference between the Regular and Deluxe version. I guess that the Regular version does not include aircraft with the G1000 GPS. My friend asked me to recommend a GA aircraft that includes the G1000. 8) 8) |

I gotcha now. You need a GA with the Garmin GPS 1000 on a GA plane. And on the standard FSX, and not the Deluxe version.
My standard version is still sealed up tight, never opened.
The way I see it, if he has the standard version, he should be able to find a download, that includes the G 1000. Shouldn't be that hard to find. As well, there should be panels out, to upgrade to the G 1000.
Not knowing what his abilities are, it should be an easy process, to make all his a/c, G 1000 compliant, by modifying the panel .cfg.
Let me know what he has, as for a/c, and I will look into it.
