|
|
Alright to the veterans out there......
I downloaded the posky 747-400 for FSX, installed it. Works great, looks great, and then when i jump into the cockpit, the cockpit is messed up, no displays.
So i thought to myself, hmmm, maybe i can fix this problem by jus copy and pasting the default 747-400's panel config into those folders....... BIG MISTAKE.
When i do that, the cockpit works fine, but then the tiltinh bogeys, flex wing disappears, and i am absolutely unable to turn my aircraft / use rudder and the nose gear is jammed in the full right/left position. Apparently the Posky scripting varies from the scripting for the default 747-400 cockpit.
Is there any suggestions on how i can get a fix for this? Would it be possible for me to have the aircrafts work like a charm and have the beautiful cockpit as well?
p.s. - i downloaded the models all from the posky website itself. it never mentions anything about this type of problem.... which is what i dont understand in the least bit.... |

Do you still have the posky 747-400 for FSX? If so, then just recopy it. If you don't, then redownload it.
Did you do anything with the gauges? You should of had a folder called gauges with it. If it's inside your a/c folder, move it to desktop, open it, and put it inside your main FSX gauges folder.
That should take of the problem.
If it doesn't, then I need the exact link for your download.

nvm RD - even though the download sites has them listed as fsx compatible, i opened up the read-me, which i wish i did before.
PROJECT OPENSKY BOEING 747-400 Passenger V4 for FS2004 ONLY
Regarding Flight Simulator X
Certain functions and visuals will not work on this aircraft if it is installed in FSX. Therefore, we (Project Opensky) will not provide support for FSX related issues with this A/C.

Well boys and girls, there you have it.
Always read the readme.
Sorry you got a bum deal out of it, as it is a decent plane.....for.... FS9/FS2004.

| That's really a bummer. I love POSKY planes and it's saddening to see no support for FSX... |

| if given a week or so i might be able to make it FSX flyable with gauge switch outs. now mind you that if you want this.... the Virtual Cockpit will have zero gauges in it (due to some of fs9 gauges will not work in FSX) but i might be able to put FSX gauges in an FS9 panel set. |
