Hello Everyone!
Well, I'm out here once again on my annual hunt for new bush-pilots to abuse, harrass, and intimidate. It's winter again, and most of us will be house-bound, looking for something to do. You might want to consider some of your options: "Should buy 12 cases of good Scotch and just stay drunk until Spring? Should I take a toothbrush and do a really good cleaning job on all the floors in the house? Should I start doing the wife's hair twice a week, maybe three times? Or should I join LewisAire where I can work more hours for less pay, fly overloaded bush planes in terrible weather, to remote wilderness settlements that often don't have near as many Nav Aids as O'Hare?" Hmmmm! Personally, I think the answer to that is obvoius, and there's always room for a few more good pilots...but it's your call.
A few things to know about LewisAire before you apply:
1. We're strictly FS-2004 and plan to stay that way.
2. We do a Sunday afternoon Multiplayer/Teamspeak flight, and mebers are urged to participate as often as possible.
Say...did you catch that cool bird from Wolf Pac Airlines? Wooo-Hooo, if ever I get the urge to leave the Canadian wilderness, I'm gonna hitch me a ride on that fancy jet! I may not ever, though; the sheep up here are kinda pretty.
Later,
Cap'n Merlin

Dang man, it sounds like I would be getting into another life, with another unappreciative wife.
Hey Garry, I've got almost all my stuff installed as I had it before the big "crash". Give me about 2 more weeks, give or take, and I'll be back.
Just so you know, I am NOT looking forward to reinstalling everything again. But hey, I'm a glutton for punishment.
I'll email you when I'm ready. 8)

To BOLDPILOT: Hmmm, I wonder who this is? I can't tell by the name (Boldpilot), because all of our pilots are somewhat...well, BOLD. They have to be, to put up with my craziness. Besides, who ever heard of a bush pilot that wasn't BOLD, right? Can you picture a sissy-wimp pilot delivering 12 barrels of AVGAS...in the Radial Otter, in a blinding snowstorm, to Barkerville or Prairie Creek, where the only radio is a 1956 model that tunes in the Grand Ole Opry when the weather is just right? Nah, they couldn't cut it. And you're right; we don't need that fancy gadgetry to navigate around the region...as you must know by now.
To RD: No problem at all, Aride...you know you've got a home with LewisAire and always will have. As for downloading everything again...yeah, you'll have to do that; there have been lots of changes since you were around last. And you might as well grease up your download fingers anyway: After our resident scenery guru (you-know-who) left the airline, I got heavily into creating scenery myself, and I've got a TON of new scenery objects for the region...everything you can possibly think of! I need to group everything into logical libraries, get rid of most of the heavy frame-rate stuff we have now, and start placing things with EZ-Scenery. Randy Wood will play a major role in that, and maybe I can sucker...er, I mean encourage...a couple of the new guys to get involved. That's a great winter project, you agree? Anyway, just give me a shout when you're ready.
Later,

| Hi All, Well Garry went and sacked me for not installing his mini panel which when installed attaches itself to all the aircraft in your folder !!.I've got to admit I was a bit of a free spirit but Garry didn't quiet get my sense of humour, like when I got lost and didn't care to admit that, so I told him I had taken the scenic route . I did my homework regarding the destination airports and usually got there even sometimes I landed on the wrong runway heading ,opposite to anyone else , They said not to get too serious . Even after all this it was a good airline to fly with especially the aircraft and the scenery. I would join again if Garry would come down to earth. Boldpilot. |

Garry... I have everything fresh, clean, and new as of 2-3 weeks ago. Can't remember if I got the mini panel or not. But I do have everything else.
Can't fly tonight, but I'll get on teamspeak and make my presence known.

Hey, BP...
UNION?? 8O
Did you say UNION...in LewisAire?
It's out of the question; we can't have a union in LewisAire! How am I supposed to underpay, abuse, and generally harass the pilots with union officials breathing down my neck, huh? Not to mention the possibility of a...of a...I can't even say the word...possibility of a...strike. What a dreadful thought! |
