Hello everyone, and of course we wish a very Happy Holiday Season to all.
As the subject-heading says, it's OPEN HOUSE at LewisAire for our traditional Christmas Eve flight. Whatzat spozed to mean, Gichmo? Well, it means that I'm making the LewisAire Christmas Learjet and some LewisAire scenery available to anyone who wants to download it, and I'll unlock our Multiplayer server for that night. No membership required...just download the aircraft and scenery files and come fly with us! It'll be a busy night; we have to go up to the North Pole and a few other places.
For whoever's interested, you can grab the files at: http://www.lewisaire.com/Christmas.html
If you wanna drop me a note to let me know if you might be there, that would be nice (admin@lewisaire.com)
Hope to see some of you there (6:00 PM EDT),

Hey Garry, thats a very tempting offer, and one that I would normally jump at, unfortunatly I'm away tomorrow morning 24th, and not due back until the 26th, first time in 15 years we are away from home at Christmas.
May I be one of the first to thank you for opening this up for Surclaro Members, and I hope the skys are busy for you.
Just do me one favour, make sure RD stays off the JD if he's flying
Merry Christmas to you and all over at LewisAire. =D>

And from all of us at LewisAire, Season's Greetings right back to you and yours, Mel.
Yes, well...the thought of RD on JD can be downright scary, that's for sure!
We'll probably do something on New Year's Eve, too...we usually do. Just grab that stuff from the website whenever you want to, or have the time. Yeah, I hope some of the guys around here show up, but ya never know. This is very informal...whoever makes it is welcome.
Later,
Garry |

Lewisaire Christmas Flight
Took off from Wright Field 5AK3 on the short runway and trimmed a few of the tree’s on the way out but climbed out OK and on up to 20000 feet. Flew the Lear on Direct auto/GPS on a course of 078 degrees initially .
This was lazy flying, just sat here admiring the scenery ,sipping lemonade[a dry ship] and talking to my mini skirted 20 year old co-pilot who was just itching to take over the controls .No woman drivers this near Xmas.
Flight panel was up to Cap’n Garry’s usual high standard .This Lear is definitely staying in my hanger for some future trips. Passed bye Garry country with airports at ,Pointed mountain, Ft Laird, Petitot, Helmet, Rainbow Lake ,ect.
With all these lakes ,one only needs a light amphibian a picnic basket and a fishing rod and life would be heaven .
As we got nearer to our destination the VOR and ADF instruments came to life ,these wasn’t needed much as the weather was brilliant with no snow for a change .The Lear performed good except for a little problem with the slow running throttle position which was overcome . A merry Xmas everyone ,Regards, Art |
