I was wondering if anyone knows how to add taxiing aircraft to scenery. I just added on KBOS to FS 2004. I have seen it before where FS had other a/c on the ground and at the gates.
Any info is appreciated.

| Hi there...so you want some traffic at your airports, eh? When you fire up FS2004, go to your 'SETTINGS' page and select 'Traffic'. There is a slider that will select the percentage of traffic you want to see. As well as what type of aircraft you would like to see. Be aware that it is not just taxiing airplanes, but landing and taking off aircraft as well as the ones moving around your airport and taxiways. See the two pictures for reference. Have fun, and if you need some detailed info on how to customize your AI (artificial intelligence) traffic further, there are folks here who are wizards at a program called 'Ttools' which allows you to fine tune all your AI activity. There are ways to import all kinds of different AI aircraft as well, to suit your specific tastes. On less robust systems, increasing the 'Air Traffic Density' may decrease your frame rates somewhat, causing loss of performance...stuttering, etc. |

there may also be a "parking problem" in the AFCAD that came with your download, being there are no "assigned" parking spots for the airliners that SHOULD come to that airport. You may need to google for, and download AFCAD2 to find out if the parking spots are labeled or not for your airlines.
This could be a little tricky to the 1st time user, but I would be glad to help in any way that I could. I dont know how to use Ttools, but RD, MEL, GroundSquirrel may and I am sure that one of them will stop by soon. Just be patient for them.
also, double posting isnt that good of a thing around here, and might get your posts ignored by some. just a friendly reminder. |

Thanks for the quick reply. I adjusted it to 90% and that added a few aircraft to the airport. I had seen before on you tube where it showed a/c that were taxiing for takeoff in sequence. They actually moved in the line up for takeoff. I'm not sure if FS 2004 can do this, though.
Thanks |

TTools is all you need. Look for it in our library.
If you have any questions after that, let me know.

billyoc........... You can also use Afcad 2 to check for errors, this could also be a problem with the KBOS Afcad you have added....
Options:
1) Check it yourself.
2) Supply the link from where you got it
3) Send the KBOS Afcad, to one of us and we can check it for you.
BTW .......... Welcome to SurClaro

FS2004 is capable of that too, it just depends on how many aircraft are present or how high you have set the percentage of AI traffic and the time it takes to fire up and taxi off all those AI aircraft. |
