"End Fire" Glideslope antenna array, located at Rowan County Airport. It is supposedly only one of like five in the US.
It is a special type of antenna that allows for a glideslope at an airport with odd terrain (ie. the large gulley at the end of runway 20) that otherwise couldn't have one.

Haha, no... that would only happen if something was wrong with the localizer antenna, which is at the far end of the runway.
It operates just like a normal glide slope, it just looks funny.
I did some digging... two other airports that have one of these are Charleston Yeager on runway 23 and Los Angeles on runway 7L |
