I persuaded Jimmy to upload this fantastic graphics package onto the Surclaro website. Jimmy and I worked for about 11 months on this project. He did an excellent job of detailing each and every building based upon the Digital Photos and videos that I sent to him. Jimmy even drove out of his way from his fishing trip at Ft Lauderday to the St. Petersburg area to meet me at the airport to confirm the final details.
You must downlod this scenery and see for yourself.

NOTE: Because we are currently hosting the St. Petersburg Grand Prix Race (April 3, 4, 5), our airport does not look like this. Our runway 7/25 is used as the straight away and there are hundred of trucks and tents all over the airport. I have volunteered to sell refreshments during the main race on Sunday to support the Albert Whitted Airport Preservation Society.
Check out the following link to see a map of the race course.

I hope that you'all enjoyed watching the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg on Sunday. Runway 7/25 was used for the main straight-away and a large part of our airport was occupied with Racetrack equipment. They promised to give us back runway 7/25 by Thursday morning. The rest of the cleanup effort will probably take several weeks.
The attached picture indicates an aproximate route ( in red) of the Grand Prix and shows where the Albert Whitted Airport Preservation Society was selling beverages.
It is always a big thrill to host the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg every year. 8) 8) |
