You do relaise what you asking here right??
Building Aircraft is a very big commitment, sometimes taking years. You have a better chance of getting what you want if you do it yourself when it comes to this. Belive me, I've tried.
Anyway,, everybody has to start somewhere!!
You might turn out to be really good at it.
My 10 cents. (we dont have 2 cents in NZ :P)
Cheers
Nick
P.S could anybody build me a Nanchang? |

i have tried to create the AX alot of times but i just can't get to grips with Gmax. It's really fiddely and confusing. do you know of any other softwares which are alot easier to use and which wont take as long to create.

You cannot avoid gmax for aircraft creation unless you are willing to spring for it's payware alternative; FSDS by Abacus.
You can download 'Anim8or' for free, and it is way easier and straightforward to use for building the model than gmax (& many other 3D apps, Payware or Freeware).
In order to texture and animate your plane though, you will need to easily export your 'Anim8or' 3D model .3ds file and then import it into gmax, then when the gmax work is done you can export a .mdl file into your aircraft container for FS.
There is no shortcut to learning sound modeling practices, and regardless of which app you use for the texturing and control-surface animations, etc. - there is still a learning curve.
Depending on how much free time you have, a noob can expect to spend many months overcoming all the little obstacles involved in getting a decently modelled, textured and animated aircraft into FS.
EDIT: Ooops, I should also mention AC3D by Invis. Another payware 3D app catering to the FS community....fairly new. (About $80 us.) |
