am needing some help and info on addon Aircraft,

As some of you may know is there are alot of addon aircraft out there.. Some work properly and then you have some that don't work 100%. Such as slow speed, turns are too sensitive or too slow etc...

Poksy =" Project Open Sky" is a well known developer of Freeware Aircrafts. 737-600/700/800 even 900 and more..

Kittyhawk operates the 737s 700, on Avsim/FlightSim/Simviation

I have a couple Posky aircrafts along with Kittyhawks. 737-700

So heres the problem i am currently having and questions.

with the Posky, i notice it doesnt slow down like its supposed to. When i land the Spoilers doesn't slow the aircraft, is there a way to fix it? such as editing the aircraft.cfg?

I downloaded an aircraft recently and ive had this problem a while back.. and i know there is a way to fix it, I can't recall so maybe someone can refresh my memory to the problem. When i am climbing i lose speed.. Even during takeoff.. the speed is to slow.. like im not getting enough power "thrust" and its at 100% where in the aircraft.cfg do you change to fix it? the speed.

Kane,

I'm pretty sure your problems lie in the aircraft.cfg, but I cant remember what lines need altering, I dont want to give you duff information, so sit tight until RD spots this, and most likely he can solve the problem.

Here are a few spots to play with in the .CFG file.
Be sure to back it up before you tweak it.

For speed I'll also play with the inlet area and RPM, but that's usually on my own stuff.

To be sure to see your changes take effect, always reload the aircraft so it draws from the fresh .CFG file. (To be extra sure, I always re-start the simulator, but I think you can just go to another aircraft and load that, then select your test-aircraft again and reload the flight to see your tweaks take effect.)

You should make sure you have all settings done according to the check list for that aircraft before blaming the .cfg. Also, some of the more crucial settings are contained in the .air file. Please study carefully before changing anything. I recommend obtaining the aircraft container SDK and reading through it for a better understanding of the cfg settings and what they do.

groundsquirrel,

Ive done that, but when you get freeware aircrafts sometimes it doesn't have that. In my case the aircraft is using default settings but yet going over in to the aircrafts cfg there are alot of problems with it. just like with the Posky, the spoilers don't slow the plane down even when the reversers are active.

Have you contacted the author/uploader about it? Were there any special instructions in the "readme" that came with the download? What is the exact zip file name and where did you download it from?
