Hi folks,

yesterday I bought an economic FS-98 package (12,99 €) for my little cousin and he installed it. Everything was ok.

He wanted to play with different aircrafts, so I downloades different liveries and different palnes from the ALITALIA section in www.surclaro.com .
I downloaded the FOKKER, ATR, BOEING 747 and MD-82 . I tried to extract the ZIP files in the AIRCRAFT folder, but nothing happens...........

I can only fly standard aircrafts but not the aircrafts I downloaded for FS98.

Some days ago I downloades some aircrafts for FS2004 and everything was ok, but I just don't understand why it happens.

Could you please help me?

Excuse me for asking this but why the hell FS98?

Just kidding...please post the aircraft.cfg and the *.air file here (zipped)

I'll check them out, see what can be done.....because my FS98 skills are a bit rusty

Have a nice day,

Hi friends,

thanks for answering. I choose FS98 because it was a low-cost gift for my cousin which is 9.......so I think you'll understand

I tried to move the Folders of the Aircrafts I downloaded from this website, but they don't work properly.

Sorry.........

I tried with every plane for fs98 in this website, simply selecting ALITALIA AIRLINERS from the left panel in www.surclaro.com homepage. After I downloaded a lot of zip files from page 5 and 6, but they don't work.

Probably, I think, the explanation is that the files I downloaded have different extensions in the folder TEXTURE, infact the ones in the standard aircrafts of FS98 are *.R8 and the others I downloaded are *.0af, *.1af etc.

Sorry,

Bye

Does somebody know how does a aircraft.cfg file look ihn FS98, because this is how this one looks like, and looks like it is not finished.

I haven't got FS08 to check it out right now, and I forgot how it looks like

Well I think he said he downloaded all the Alitalia airplanes from the first page in Alitalia section found in the dropdown menu. I downloaded the 744 Cargo, and that is all I found in the cfg file, shouldn't there be much more?

Italy_pilot...

Go to this link ( http://www.calclassic.com/instruct.htm#fs98 ) and scroll down to: "If your downloaded plane doesn't appear in the Select Aircraft menu." See if any of those suggestions help out at all.
