Hey ya'll. Okay...here's a shot of my first repaint. Kind of a tribal idea I had from a tattoo I got last year.

Question is...how do I get the gear bay doors the same gradient pattern/color as the fuselage? I forgot to paint them at the same time and am trying to figure out how I can do it now but with no luck!?!?! Argggh.

Ideas? Model is POSKY 744 PAX configuration.

Cheers,

Make copies of your texture folder first. Then working on the copy, look at the wing and fuse areas where the gear bay doors would be. Use the outline tool to select and copy the area from the wing or fuse and paste it onto the gear bay door being conscious of orientation. To check it, rename your texture folder in the aircraft folder to preserve it and put in your modified texture folder. Then go check her out. Of course this will be some trial and error, but this represents the quickest way I know of to achieve what you want.

Thanks again G! And Lortiawhak!

Figured out how to do it another way...opened up the fuselage PSD file and then copied over the gear bay and underbelly parts as a new layer. Placed them as best as I could and then repeated the gradient fill only on the new layer and voila!!!! Perfect match! Stumbled upon a great way to preview the work without using FS!!!...download FSRepaint demo version! It won't let you save any editing done to aircraft but allows you to preview your plane in full 3D!!! Multiple angles to choose from as well!! Made the job of lining up everything soooo easy.

Now I gotta add some 'dirt', shadows and tweak the light maps. I want to be able to get the rotating beacon to flash around the plane but haven't figured out how yet.

Once again, thanks guyz. Check out the work so far and tell me what ya think...will post up more in screenshots when I'm done...

Now, what are you going to name the airline? Tribal Transport?

Maybe Tatt Airlines. Simple, easy to remember and just vague enought to not turn away the politically rigid among us.

Awwwwww G...what's the fun if you can't *beep* someone off??? Heheheehee.

I like TaTT Airlines. But that would mean that I gotta do up a bunch of different planes...I don't knowwww...

We'll see. I gotta lot to learn yet. Like the title though. If I use it I'll give ya credits...koo?

Peace,
