I have a voodoo 3 3000 card (16mb) and im running it on a Penitum II 266 MHz, 192 RAM, 60 GB hard disk space computer... DXT3 textures show up as black textures on all planes. But the DXT1 and other do work. I am wondering.. is this because my v card dooesnt support them or is it because I am running DirectX 7 (or 6...) and not the latest one?

Try updating to Directx9.0c. If it doesn't work then your card probably doesn't support it.

Well... voodoo 3 is a really old card. i must dissapoint you, but dx 9 is very-very probarbly out of the question for you. I´m buying a new and my specs at the moment are:
1ghz amd athlon
geforce 2 32mb
and 256 ram |
