If you wish to start a flight at a given location then this is what you do...
go to the location and set up your a/c the way you want it to start the flight. then save the flight and check off the button for save as default flight. You might have to do this twice for it to work. Shut down FS each time and restart.
Hope that helps

| When you are in airport selection window, at the bottom left where it says "active runway", click on the arrow to expose the drop down menu of runway and parking spot options for that particular airport, when you select one of them, that is where you will start. |

i know that. not too hard to understand.
what i do not understand is if it is possible to :
1. Start my computer.
2. Start MFS2002
3. Go to the Create flight menu
4. Choose my aircraft
5. Choose my weather
6. Choose my time&date
7. Choose a starting place that is not in an airport, but specified by coordinates??? |

As far as I know...you can't specify coord for a start point. I think their was a program or two that allowed you to do something similar for a startup flight but don't remember now.
You have to either use Skipperdan's approach in the other topic, or save a flight at that point and restart FS.
