Yes... he did a wonderful job on the Brittish Airways. So many people paint planes and they look pretty... but not used. He gave it that used look which I prefer.
Here is one he did for me. My handle is from the T.V. show Wings. They used a Cessna 402C in the show but there are none made for 2004. I found a 2002 and the author allowed it to be repainted freely. So he did the airplane Joe Hacket flew in the show for me.
Great Job Exxman! Thank You Again! This has become my puddle jumper from this point on! :) |

Thanks to sandpiper for the link. Downloaded and installed it and it flies great.
This one I can feel the tension on my joystick, which is a, Microsoft Forceback 2, whenever I bank left or right for example, which I do not feel when using other A/C. Would this have to do with the air.cfg file?
And, yes, Exxman did a fantastic job on this one. |

This British Airways 747-136 "Landor" started out a few weeks ago when I asked Exxman about painting aircraft. Im super picky so its hard for me to find planes that I really like.
Interestingly the BA was somewhat of a second choice. I originally asked for an Air Canada paint in the 1982 colours. Exxman being the adventurer he is thought that would be boring and not enough of a challenge. So after browsing through my "shopping list" on Airliners.net, I came to a British Airways 747-136, G-AWNA.
I suggested this plane to Exx and he snapped it up. It is so hard to find a good BA "landor" paint. Everyone has the flying wallpaper catalog livery...or 747-436s.. or the Union Jack tails... but for those of us who like the classic 747s we are pretty much stuck. That is why I chose that one. :)
It took days and days of scouring for pics on Airliners.net to find just the right colours and details. That was my job throughout the project. Exx and I are total perfectionists and a few times we went back to the drawing board and completely redid everything. I was worried it would never get done, thats how many times it was binned and started over again. But its that attention to detail and drive to provide the absolute best we could that kept us going. We werent going to settle for "it looks okay"...or "no one will notice." We wanted it to be as real as possible. And I am more than pleased with the results.
Im glad you all like the work we did. It makes it all worthwhile :)
Enjoy

P.S. THANK YOU EXX!! *hugz* <3 |

I came up with the idea to paint the CP and you wanted the Landor!? I spent days and days of going thru pics on Anet while you just picked on me for being too slow?! You were the one who kept scrapping my perfectly good ideas and making me start from scratch...hmmmphhh...women.
LOL
Virgin is 100% correct. She did all that and more. Other credits which are in the readme and should be mentioned:
Terence Pereira, Ben Jones and Project Opensky!
Maximus (Maxell's Ghost) for valuable assistance
Pingponggame for loads of great advice on the dirt fx and his 20/20 vision
Paulvil for the grunts
and...all the great people who are taking the time out to say thank you...you are most welcome!
The flexing wings at takeoff/landing and during turbulence are all part of POS's great air file. As well as the realistic tension on FFB sticks. Animations as well like the guy who opens the PAX door are all part of their great model. Lots of other eye candy too. POS models are top notch and a joy to paint!
Future releases coming from the cigarette ash and empty chocolate bar wrapper covered desk of the Exxman?...
POS 747-400GE PAX Fictional Livery (surprise)
POS 747 CP AIR
POS 767-200 in ??
Stay tuned
Cheers to all!

He is a perfectionist... and I am very happy with the aircraft being added to my fleet. I don't add many planes but I will say it again... it is a must for anyone's hangar! If you need to see it for proof... here it is in all of it's glory... well worth the download! Also Yellowbird... you are right... with a Force Feedback Joystick... you really can feel it all with this bird. I personally do not know if it is the aircraft cfg. file that does it... but as long as it does it like this aircraft... I will be happy! :D
Also personal note to Exx... Thanks again for my private plane... see it in my new avatar! I LOVE IT SO MUCH!!! :) |
