Nice Rick!
Was feeling kind of alone here...
Ya alpha is a bit high...go for around 230's for your alpha on those colors and it should be fine. What model you using man? Need a good FedEx for the fleet and yours is looking mighty fine! Can't wait.

Thanks guys...
It's an SGA model and I'll send you a copy of the package when it's finished.
I had to add the "The World on Time" line, I fixed the alpha with the 230 you suggested, looks much better, now I need to finish adjusting the lines on one of the cargo doors and some windows.

Why thank you Sandpiper....
...If I can coax the "dirty bird" master, into teaching me the grasshopper, the ways of "dirty" painting, I'll have a "showroom" and "down in the mud" version in the package and you'll be number 3 on the mailing list. |

I can wait... between you and the "Dirty Bird Master " I have no problem waiting. I will take your bird to exotic and beautiful locations around the world and show it off in screen capture shots! That's what I do best besides flying. I would paint them but I cannot afford the programs to do such... and even if I could... I would not be able to compete with the beautiful planes you and he are creating! :) |

Dirty Bird Master....hmmmmm...start my own cult.
Okay, short tute on how to do dust...and rust.
First...Make a new layer underneath windows that will be for dust and general overall touchup if needed. Then make another layer unnderneath that...call it lines for dust or what have you.
Take a brush, med gray,, 6 pixels wide and about 50% pressure and paint little lines underneath the windows. If you want different shades of dirt then you have to make changes to your med gray to darker gray and make seperate lines.
Using the Smudge Tool, set your brush size to 10 pixels, pressure to what you like and gently work the dust down...or back for wind fx until you get what looks good to you. Then move it to place it so it looks real. Because it's underneath the windows layer, it will look more realistic.
Same thing with Rust, *beep* good rust color swatch, make a couple of lines on a new layer, blur/smudge them and voila...dirty bird. Do the same for fuse lines, door handles...etc. Takes time but in the end it is worth it.
Oh, that is an unfinished FedEx there Rick...don't like the paintkit very much. Hope that helps. Shout back if you need more okay?
