Having Air traffic at 100% means there are going to be tons of planes out there, meaning your proccessor has to do lots more calculations, and yoru video card is going to have to render more stuff.

I'd say the problem is in your processor, since it has to do so much more work to handle a lot of other planes.
Try tuning it down slowly until you get the desired gamespeed.

Corrie is right on the $$. Upgrading to a 9800 will get you 2-3FPS max. Your processor is a little on the weaker side.

If you do upgrade...go with the fastest processor/mobo you can afford. AGP cards are going to plummet in price so wait a bit to upgrade that. Thats my advice...

FS9 is EXTREMELY CPU intensive! Get one around 3GHZ then watch and enjoy your sim like never before :D

I agree with my friends above... a faster CPU DOES MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE!!! Went from an AMD Althon XP 2100+ to an AMD 3000+ ( 64 Bit Processor ) with a new M/B for around $350.00... eye candy everywhere and frame rates thru the roof. Performance at an all time high! Save your pennys... it is the difference between night and day! \:D/
