The drop down menu for selection of aircraft, also has a smoke effects selector on it, ( for those aircraft that are smoke capable ). Is there any setting within the config. files of FS2002 Pro, ( or buried somewhere else in the program ), that will allow a user to permanently turn on the engine smoke of all the aircraft that are capable of engine smoke? Thanks.........

No, unfortunately there isn't.

Even if you could...it would be a pretty good FPS hit.

Ya...been trying to do the very same thing you are asking myself. Tried Nicks AI, AirFx by Grant Bovee, changing the cfg files...nodda. Hopefully someone will come along and do it...

I haven't learned to use it yet, but I bought AirFX from Grant Bovee, just yesterday, just so I could generate some smoke. What do you think of the product?

Grant mentioned to me in an e-mail that he's working on a new version. He called it his 2005 version of AirFX. By the time he told me, however, I had already purchased the current version. That's why we were corresponding in the first place.......
