Can the water FX in FS2002 be transferred into FS9?
I have been delighted with the technical as well as visual realism of Microsoft's Century of Flight, with the single exception of the water, the appearance of which I find greatly superior in FS2002 when flying close above, and landing on/taking off from, it's surface. (Ok, it aint the sea, but at least in 2002 it looks and moves like water!)
My system handles all the other graphics without any difficulty, but will not step up to the higher-grade water effects that FS9 apparently offers.
I'm running Win98SE on an 80gb hard-drive, a 1.3g Processor, 639mb of Ram and an Inno3D Geforce2 Ti graphics card, even so a system upgrade might possibly be called for. However I don't want the expense right now, hence the opening question.
If I can import the 2002 aircraft into 2004, what about the water effects? |

| If your graphics card doesn't support "DirectX 9", and you're unable to leave the water effects setting to "high" in the display adjustments of FS9, then your water effects will be limited. |

| There is a water effects d/l that brings that fs2002 water effect to fs9=classic_water_texture.zip and that can be found possibly on this site :) If not, then you should look on other sites (avsim.com) :lol: and it's there for sure :wink: |
