I have just downloaded a concorde of this site but the FSM (flight sim manager) program tells me that the ATC model is missing. There are lots to choose from in the list but which one do I choose. this may seem basic to some people but I've not been flying long

The ATC Model is simply an entry in the aircraft.cfg file that tells ATC what model A/C it is. If you had a Boeing the possibilities would be 727, 737, 747...and so on.

I'm not sure what the model ID is for a concorde but I'm sure someone will be along to pass that info on.

I just checked all of the .cfg files for all of the Concordes available here at Surclaro and none of them have an entry in the atc_model section.

It may not be an entry within the file that's necessary for that A/C.

My British Airways Concorde has the following:

atc_id=Concorde
atc_callsign=Speedbird

Change the callsign for the airline that you have ie. Air France etc.

If you have editvoicepack then you can get all the updated voicepacks and callsigns for FS. It's available at Avsim. You also need the Microsoft Framework which is available from MS's site. I sent Rana the latest airlines cfg file a while ago so I don't know if he's implimented that one in the new version of FSM cause if he has you should see the Concorde entry. If not, let Rana or myself know and we'll get that happening.

atc_model isn't the same as atc_id and atc_callsign.

It references the specific model of A/C. Look at the entries for any of the Boeings...

For the B737-400

[General]
atc_type=BOEING
atc_model=B734
editable=0

B737-700

[General]
atc_type=BOEING
atc_model=B737
editable=1

B747-400

[General]
atc_type=BOEING
atc_model=B744
editable=0

Good link there GS.

I'd guess seeing as how there were only two models of SST A/C made, and each company only made one model of their A/C, there really wouldn't be a need to put a specific model.

If I was going to put in an atc_model entry at all, I'd put SST.

Try this link for ATC types and models: http://www.homepages.mcb.net/bones/04fs/data/fltsimcf1.htm

According to this list: ATC_TYPE is: Concorde

Haven't found the Model...still looking.
