| Well, what 727 did you have in mind there Exx? There are plenty of 727 addons out there, so im not exactly sure what plane you want a paintkit for. Do you have a certain model that you want a p/k for? |

Thanks guyz...
What I want...a 727-200adv model.
1. Freeware
2. A good model...something better than Eastern's kit. No AI and I don't care if the kit has layers...prefer it doesn't actually... Ping...lol.
3. Good animations, dyamic shine, accurate. Can do without shine but the the other two are a must.
I have the Eastern but the fans aren't animated...good model...accurate and flys like a dream...just that one thang about the fans. I was just wondering if there are other one's out there that you guyz/galz may have come across.
Thanks again!!

Why is this? Layers save so much time, why have to mask your fonts and logos behind the windows and lines, etc. when you can just put it on a layer below these details. You could be saving time and painting even more. Two different tastes, lol. As long as it works for you, its all good :) |

There is no need to mask anything Ping the way I do it. I don't put the base layer down first. It's about mid level. And I do my own windows anyways so the kits one's are tossed. I put my base coat/paint layers/highlights/shadows underneath the painkit base. Then adjust the opacity/fill on the kit base layer to give it a more weathered/used look. Also trying to perfect a 'candy apple' texture idea I've been using. Air India repaint I did is the closest I have gotten so far to what I want. It's got specular highlights of peacock blue, gray/silver and brushed aluminum white in it. Really comes out in the sun I find. Trying to get better at it. So ya, the layers don't work for me as I end up deleting them anyways.
You are right...it's all good. One day I'll do up a paintkit for ya with all this stuff in it and you can mess with it. Give ya at least 80 layers to work with...lol...I know you'll take it to the next level!

Good Points, I realize how much detail goes into these UI paints as I think you know what I mean. 8O

Crazy! You should do up a tute of making your own pk's, I think that would benefit some people out there, including me, LOL  |

Ouch...now a tute on making a paintkit would be tough as it depends on the model you are painting. Each model has it's own specified bitmaps according to how they put it together.
Sides' I'm all tuted out. ;) Anyone else wants to take it on they are more than welcome though...
