| Right--- I have opened this zip and copied the .bgls into addon scenery/scenery as per instructions. Where do I find them when flying? I choose an airport select add on scaenery at the bottom, but no indication of this add on. Thanks. |

According to the supplied instructions:
"2.-Although you will not find any special clouds you will find thermals
over all UK and Ireland(see map), so you can fly
from any airport to other and allways have thermals on the way.
Thermals min alt 900 feet max 15.000 feet."
You won't actually see the thermals. It is a simulation of hot air rising which creates an updraft that will provide lift for a glider. The most common place to find thermals is on the windward side of a mountain.
There's no need to activate them in the library if you placed the .bgls in the ADDON SCENERY/SCENERY folder. |

Hi, I have just bought fs2004 and I was looking forward to doing some gliding.
First of all I am having trouble to finding the glider flights in select a flight, can someone point me in the right direction?
Secondly I would be very interested to know where I can find this uktherm4.zip from which apparently when added to fs2004 enable thermals to generate randomly around Britain.
Am I right in saying that even with fs2004 like fs2002 there are only certain area's in the game world where there are computer generated thermals.
Regards
Steve |
