i really don't understand how i need to install downloaded scenery and texture. what do i need to do, from the beginning to the end.

It isn't the same for all scenery addons. So, if you could provide the exact filename or the link to the file we could take a look at give you more info. Generally there are three ways of installing scenery:


By copying scenery files and textures to Addon Scenery subfolder, in the respective scenery and texture folders under Addon SceneryBy making a custom folder under Addon Scenery (and in the custiom folder again Scenery and texture subfolders). And then "including" that scenery via Flight Simulator interfaceBy copying scenery files in the main scenery folders overwriting default scenery files

So, usually, one of theese three ways does the trick...you just have to know which one to use, and most of the time, readme.txt, that comes with the addon can tell you that.

i actually want to to two ( vhhx4v1.zip and p5-2004.zip ) but the first one is the most important, because i really love kai tak. i already tried to make it work, but i just don't know how to do it. i hope you can help me make it work :?

Im taking this right out of the readme BTW

1: Create a folder called VHHX of whatever you want in ...\FS2004\ADDON SCENERY folder

2. Go back to the download file and cut and paste the 2 folders, Scenery and Texture, into the folder you just created.

3. The downloaded file contains a folder called AFCAD.There is a file called AF2_VHHX.bgl. Copy this into your ..\FS2004\ADDON SCENERY\scenery folder

5. Start fs, go to Settings. Go to Scenery Library and then Add Area. Add the folder you created in the \ADDON SCENERY folder. Press OK and restart fs.

6. Go to VHHX and discover the horrors of flying there with a small plane

The author seems to have forgotten to delete the flashing light on top of buildings. So you might see some flashing red lights on top of buildings that aren't there...Good luck

thanx, only the area of kai tak is running slower than other areas. but i think that that is because of my computer :wink: . and do i have to do p5-2004.zip the same way??
