Hey all DXTBmp users, a simple question from a begginer to repainting:
i have opened one of the texture folders and now that i have finished with it how do i convert it into (What ever the texture file was before which i think it was DXT3) DXT3!!! because my aircraft loads up with the tail Grey instead of it's normal colours!!!!
any help would be Appreciated! |

You can use almost any type of bitmaps, but be sure to select Save As > Extended Bitmap and then select the format. Usually, the 32bit will give you good quality without losing too much on the quality, but then again....it will take longer to load.
Could be that the filename for the bitmap was wrong, or you didn't copy it in the right place. |

| Well, let's see now. You have opened a texture, sent it to your editor, played around with it, saved your changes in the editor, went back to DXT (which you should not have closed), reloaded after edit (your image editor should still be open), and then hit save in DXT (it should have selected the original format (or you can choose, details about selection in the DXT help). We recommend UNchecking the save mipmaps button to reduce the "blurries". When you get the overwrite warning dialogue box, select yes and that should do it. |
