| I recently downloaded and installed waterzone.zip water color enhancement. Then, I borrowed FS Water from a friend. If I install FS Water, will the installation overwrite my existing water enhancement files? |

yeah it will
If you want a great program that I bought, I would recommend Flight Enviorments (spelling may be wrong but it;s late and I don't feel like correcting it) |

I shall backup the files
What are the distinct differences? Doesn't Flight Environment include FS Water.
I do not desire to spend any money. It's all focusing on AP's and SAT's for me now. I'll go back to spending money on game accessories in college, if I have time.
(Thus, I have a massive wish list). |

Well it does include FS Water..the main thing is FE lets you change your skys (dawn, day, dusk, night) Your 4 levels of clouds and three levels of water effects.
It's amazing...simply amazing. Buy it, you will LOVE the difference and not have buyer's remorse. |

I just saw this post being gone for so very long. I have both FS Water ( I personally love it while others say it is not that great ) and I have Flight Environment as well. I know this much... I installed FS Water first... played with it and then used my coupon for the discount on Flight Environment and it totally messed up my water all the way. My deep inland water looked more like blue rocks than water and there was no movement to it at all. I landed on it and lost all effects you normally get with the standard MFSF 2004 water or FS Water.
So my question is this... did you in fact install Flight Environment before or after FS Water, and if you did it before... did your water turn out pretty in the Flight Sim becasue FS Water I personally think is awesome!
Brief note: I have had other tell me FS Water looks to flat and fake... when in fact I have gone to the local marina and looked at water for real in life and then compared it the water in the sim. Real water is pretty flat for the most part. You will not really see waves unless you get on the coastlines near beaches or harbors. Out in the deep sea you will get the rising effects during a storm... but water is pretty flat otherwise! |

| Sandpiper, I installed Flight Environment before I installed FS Water. The water actually depends on the software you use for updating or installing. I uninstalled both software. I now use BirdsEyeView's water, which I think looks a lot better. |
