Hi All, Ok this problem is slowly doing my head in!
Im running-Windows XP pro on- 3.2 Athlon, Gigabyte 400 board, 512meg 3200 ddr ram, 256 meg ATI X800 xt card, 180gig drive.
Loaded up flight sim last week and have been plagued with this problem, My pc runs this game lovely in the air only!! As soon as i try to taxi on the runway she crawls down to a very very slow frame rate?!? iv had the new 9.1 update and it has made no changes. have got new dierctx9.0c plus all up to date drivers, I dont have any problems running any other games they all seem to run fine.
Any ideas Anyone?? |

What does it slow down to? Are you running any virus/spyware programs? Try changing your settings in FS and find a happy medium that works. You shouldn't really have a problem with the system you have described. What model/make is the CPU?

Not a problem...ok...how many processes do you have running right now? Right click on your taskbar and pull up the task manager and it will show you that. Better if you put a pic of it up here...

I have 28 running at the moment but 4 of those wouldnt be running if i was to start playing games, like i say she crawls down to a frame every 2-3 seconds if im taxiing on a runway or trying to take off but as soon as my wheels leave the tarmac then i go off staight away to a normal game playing speed, strange huh? I wouldnt mind but im currently trying to do my pp test and the examiner keeps failing me and stopping the test cos i take so long just to taxi!
cheers bil |

| Just so you know iv just tried the game and put all settings including sound/weather to the bear minimum and even put my video res to lowest but it still doesnt change the taxi/take off runway frame speed. |

Okay...are you running AMD's Cool and Quiet technology? If so, update the drivers for it and test it again.
You can find the drivers on their site.
