I was raised in what is now South El Monte, CA in the 40s and 50s. Back then our landlord had a Taylorcraft which he kept at Rosemead Airport until he moved to Tucson, AZ. I remember walking home from school (never did like school buses - too many kids, too noisey) along a bridle path that went beside the airport and watching planes take off (the landlord occasionally gave us kids rides (if we bugged him enough!) in his plane - Tailspin Tommy they called him - on your first flight he'd put the Taylorcraft into a tailspin - ex Navy fighter pilot - to see if he could scare you out of flying - saved him fuel expense I guess). One time I watched the Filming of a WWI movie using old military biplanes there. Never did find out what movie it was so I could watch it.
Anyhow, The airport was closed sometime around 1960, probably as a result of it's proximity to El Monte Airport - KEMT, and Flair Corporation bought the property and the airfield so they could test the small GA aircraft they manufactured.
So, I was wondering if anyone has come across a download depicting this airport back then.

Hmmmm,
unfortunately, it is very unlikely that you'd find scenery of this airport considering its closure was in the 60's unless of course there was a scenery designer who had some link to it....
