Why in the world would you wantto do that ?? With that card you don't need to. If you burn it up, your out of luck, because they won't warranty it.

I think Ardie means either/or there Myth. Burn anyone one of them up (or anything else along the chain which means the whole PC) means a void warranty.

First, read up on the prcocesses involved in o'cing. You have to know how it works and why, how the bios is integrated with the process and also how the bus architecture and perephreals are also affected. You can easily o/c a CPU but burn up your HDD/DVD/CD/RAM etc. if you make one tiny mistake. Check out sites like overclockers.net and others.

Secondly, if you do want to take the risk, then you gotta get way better cooling than the stock setup. Claw's run way hotter than their Venice counterparts due to the older 130nm process so that's the first thing you have to do. If you don't, that CPU is going to jump past 65C faster than you can hit 'reset'.

Good luck. I have to agree with Ardie. Why? If you had a 3200 Venice I could see it as it will o/c more than yours and is good for it but a Clawhammer with your setup? Oh well...it's your rig.

Well the reason is that i'm getting a low frame rate, around 15-20 inside the cockpit of a stock plane, (the next one i know is not low actually high) but then up to 70fps outside the plane why is this? It used to be the other way around.

excactly my situation... athlon 62 3200+ venice. my bios says that the cpu target temperature is 72*C (to be honest i do not know what that means) but at the moment i'm getting a quite stable 35-42 degrees.

121a...would have been better if you posted up your problem rather than go on about overclocking. The problem isn't that your CPU is slow, the problem is your configuration or drivers installed not working correctly. Check the MSFS website for updates and fixes for newer systems.
