I have a PNY Nvidia GeForce FX5500
my problem is that my screenshots have many jaggies, and i want to fix that. I raised my antialiasing to 2x, and it became better. I have these settings on my antialiasing:
Off
2x
2xQ
4x
8x
My forceware version is 81.98

My anisotropic filtering is Maxed at 8x
Image settings set to quality (for good quality and a bit better performance)

Now, when i set my antialiasing to 4x or above, FS starts having issues in full screen. some of the errors might be: no aircraft shown on the create a flight menu (as in the aircraft that turns around in circles to show you)

in the flight, when i push alt, the whole screen goes black for 2 seconds, then goes back

this is rather annoying, and i was wondering if anyone else with maxed AA and an FX5500 card (or something close to it like 5200 or 5600) has this problem.

How much memory does your video card have on-board? Also, what is the bus speed of your motherboard? These are the two main bottlenecks with respect to your situation.

Those things happen to me too. Aircraft in create a flight, sometimes there sometimes not?????? beats me. When I hit alt, it takes a second to change. I have 2 gigs of premium ram so I dont think it is a ram issue. 256MB video so I dont think it is that either. It started when I changed drivers to 91.98. BUT it does the same with the new 83.90 drivers too. I think I will go back to the 91.98. They seem to be better for my system. SO FAR.....NVidia tends to be driver challenged. They sure can sell hardware but drivers...thats another story. Bark,Bark,Bark..  I think it is a driver issue.

Tropicalfish,

When I had my old 5200, I had everything maxxed with no problems. However, I had the same problem as you did when I changed to a newer driver. I would recommend changing to or trying older drivers.

I don't know why it is this way, but I had to use and older driver. And never had a grafix problem again.

Newer drivers are not always the best. Check and test and keep your old driver when you get and try a newer one. Saves alot of headaches.

xactly Richy, driver error. Press alt+enter to enter windowed mode, there everything works. once You are ready to fly, press alt+enter again to return full screen mode.
