|
|
Good day folks,
I have heard of the 1GB graphics card lately. I have ever since wanted one, combined with another 1000GB (1TB) Hard Drive. I really want one and want to buy one, but want more info on which is better and which is not first before I buy  ! So here I am.
Does anyone know about a 1GB grafix card which would be the best??
Is that one going to be capable of working with my current FX5500 card??? In other words, does that support multiple cards which can work together with my current FX5500 card????
Thank you sooooooo much!!

Don't believe everything you see and hear.
They are coming out with a 1gb video card, but you better be rich:

On the 1000GB HD, I can only find the largest at 500GB as a stand alone. You can get 1TB Hard Drives, but they all use 2 X 500GB Hard Drives.

Wait a couple years. Then maybe when your working at my 6 digit income you can afford these.

Actually there is a thread about this. Maybe they are inaccurate, but it was mentioned.

working with Your current card, by that You mean SLI. No, it wont, and if it could, it would be like adding a toothbrush electric engine to a Saturn V. SLI only works with at least GF 6600gt gpus and You have to have two identical cards for that. Ati has its own sli too, CrossFire, and it seems to be a bit better, because as i have understood it, it can support different GPUs.
Ardie, what do You mean by a "Your six-digit income", is that in cents, Yens or are You bloody George doubleyou?
Just kidding mate
[Edit:] Erm, if there is, why the post? Are You the same person as the first Capt. El? |

Does that mean I have to sell my FX5500?? Luckily, there is someone that wants to buy my current FX5500 is I cannot integrate my FX5500 with a new 1GB card  . Just want to mention the two options. So 2 cards = not possible??

"So 2 cards = not possible??"
Not for the fx5500 or any fx gpu. Also you'll have to get a SLI mobo, and possibly a new power supply. |

Plus FS9 doesn't recognize SLI.
Your IQ points are dropping like a rock.
I gave you two links, and there are about 20 or so posts in the forums that you could read and learn from.
Myth, 6 digit income = at least $100,000.00 annually. Minus bonuses.

Oh, annually. I thought monthly
Capt el, if You really want it, You will have to build a new system. New cards are almost by rule only for pci-express mobos. |

yeah, if you have $ 2,600.oo to buy one. How stupid is that for a game. This is for pros that do actual video and digital edititing. Not for Doom or FS9 Players.

121,
I don't see you on the list of buying one, do I ?? So, if you want something that corulates with FS9, then this doesn't work. And will not work if you want the high end for FSX.
This is about having a sensible card for FS9 that is under $500, that works with FS9 or FS-X. Otherwise,,,, this is a complete waste of money for the major Flight Sim players.
This site is for Flight sim, not video or digital editing. And there are bigger and better cards than the one you just listed.

| I know that, i never once stated that it was the best card, i just said go NVIDIA. My opinion the two best cards are: 1) A geforce 7900 GTX with 512mb and 2) An ATI Radeon X1900 with 512mb. I'm already ready for Vista and FSX. My future upgrades will be 2gb ram and an AMD X2. For a card under $500 a 7600, 7800,6600,6800, ect are all good cards. ( I dont know too many ati cards, some are better than what i listed) |

| A 13 year old lad who can go and spend $500 of his parents money on a graphics card is getting far too much pocket money. |

| Well in my case, the money came from a laptop. Best buy had to send it out 3 times meaning i got a refund of $1185 to spend so i built a computer. The first of four laptops cost $1000, which my grandma paid for, as for the $185 i paid for that. So i got lucky that the 7800 came out in best buy when it did. I'm also lucky my parents let me spend the $1185. |
