cfs1,
no patches ever on release and to date,
no program errors
the best sim engineers of the day created it
still supported by FLIGHT SIM, AVSIM, Cimviation at times.
CANbe EASILYFLOWN in under 10 minutes,
EASY on the vid card,
Most Realistic FX for it's time still able to out do the candy tail games of today!
BEST FX of the day and EVEN NOW Dogfight scenery. Action unparalleled online
FPS: no problemo: i get 88 with /Highest density, multiplay!
Lag time very low online
still is capable of out performing most new games today
my favorite, You can kill everyone freely without regret!
OH forgot,
BETTER YET, they were SO SMART BACK THEN,
they made it able to fly in NT4.0 = NTFS OS, which is XP! 11 years later!
Please list three games/sims that can do all of the above.

| I had CFS1 and enjoyed it. Hmmm, come to think of it I was introduced to Microsoft's flight sims with CFS1, before even trying a $10 retail repackage of MSFS98. Previous to those sims I had flown quite a bit in Novalogic and Jane's combat flight sims and enjoyed them immensely. Novalogic had the nice eye candy happening back then with The F-16 multirole fighter sim and the F-22 Lightning sim. Jane's combat sims werent quite as pretty but they had the accuracy regarding flight dynamics and weaponry nailed, and were renowned already for their archiving and research of this sort of stuff. Their F-18 simulator is a blast!!! Very hairy and immersive combat...you're likely to have many edge-of-the-seat close calls, and many times a fiery death. I've gotta dig up that f-18 sim out of the box-o-discs and try it again. Acceptable graphics and not too taxing on your PC - pretty cool usage and performance out of the older sims. My poor old (but solid) IBM PIII would choke on 'Lock On' and the newer good combat sims but one day I'll check into the newer ones with a gear upgrade. |

I like the IL-2 series personally w/ Pacific Fighters added in. I think UBISOFT did a good job there.
As for modern day combat sims,
LO:MAC - this is amazing. I love the heat blare from the engines too. |
